Part 107 alone does not authorize commercial drone operations in the United States. To legally conduct commercial drone operations in the U.S., you generally need all of the following:

• Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (this Course covers exam preparation)
• Aircraft registration and Remote ID compliance
• U.S. work authorization (citizenship, permanent residency, or work visa)
• Business registration and tax compliance
• UAS liability insurance (recommended)
• US Agent for Service designation — required since April 2025 under 14 CFR Part 3 Subpart C for certificate holders without a U.S. address (typically $50–$200/year via third-party services)

• Failure to pass the FAA Part 107 Knowledge Test
• Denial, suspension, or revocation of a Remote Pilot Certificate
• Accidents, injuries, or property damage resulting from drone operations

• Reliance on information that is outdated or inaccurate due to regulatory changes
